My Fellow Americans,

If you cast a deeply considered vote yesterday, thank you. Some of you (perhaps many of you) voted for a person, not a party. You took a risk, stepped out of the party line, even if temporarily.

News coverage reinforces our division: They Won and They Lost. As if the definition of “they” hasn’t shifted monumentally over the last 10 years.

Here's who won the election: We.

We won, but we are not reconciled. Who are We now? We have so much work to do. Let's begin by being worthy of each other's trust.

I have the honor to be,
Your obedient servant,
Diana
